Personal Compass

Acrylic on pine wood. Private commission depicting the four seasons, four cardinal points and elements associated with each. The corner pieces (or NW, NE, SW, SE) are symbols chosen by the client that I depicted as a joining of the elements from the two nearest to that corner (i.e. the Infinity symbol is water and earth).

This was a fun journey to say the least. It was a first for media: wood base. It was a challenge to mount the corner pieces on without damaging the work. But in the end I had the concept pitched to me and I came up with the creative vision after 20 minutes or so banter regarding four canvases version one.
